Selection Process for Lok Sabha Parliamentary Reporter Jobs 2020

The selection of the eligible candidate will be done on the basis of overall performance in the following rounds:

  • Shorthand Test
  • Written Test
  • Personal Interview

Shorthand Test

  • The Shorthand Test will be consists of 100 marks.
  • The exam will be taken in the form of dictation in Hindi/English with a speed of 160 words per minute of 10 minutes duration to be transcribed within 1 hour 30 minutes (10 minutes for reading notes included) in case of English Shorthand Test and 1 hour 55 minutes (10 minutes for reading notes included) in case of Hindi Shorthand Test.

Written Test

The candidates who clear Shorthand Test will be called for Written Test which will held on following format:

Part A General Knowledge and Current Affairs 50  50 minutes
Part B General English 50
NOTE:  (100 multiple choice questions consisting of 50 questions in each part)

The minimum cut off percentage required to qualify in Written Test is 50%, 45% and 40% for UR/EWS, OBC and SC/ST categories.

Personal Interview

The candidates who will clear the written test will be called for Personal Interview which will consists of 10 marks. The aspirants needs to secure minimum qualify marks in interview i.e. 50%, 45% and 40% for UR/EWS, OBC and SC/ST categories respectively.

The Parliament of India will release the Admit Cards of the selected candidates on their official website. All the participating candidates are advised to collect Parliamentary Reporter Admit Card 2020 to attend the exam, otherwise aspirants will not be allowed to take entry in the examination hall without the proper admit card.

Along with the Admit cards, candidates must carry one valid ID proof (Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport or PAN Card in original as well as photocopy.
