NEET Examination Eligibility Criteria 2020

The National Testing Agency has prescribed the eligibility criteria for the NEET 2020 examination. All the required candidates who wish to apply for the entrance test and apply the examination are advised to check although they fit into the criteria specified in a prescribed manner.

Age Limit for exams:

·         The minimum age of a candidate as on December 31, 2020, and should be 17 years for applying in the examination.

·         The rule specifying for the candidate has a maximum age limit that was scraped off last year. Thus, there is no upper age limit for the candidates applying for the NEET examination form.

Minimum qualification:

·         Candidate must have passed out for Class XII or equivalent from a recognized institute

·         Candidates appearing for Class XII or equivalent in summer 2020 can also apply for NEET 2020 examination.

·         Candidates completed Class XII or equivalent from an open school are also eligible for applying in the examination.

Mandatory subjects before applying NEET 2020:

·         Candidates applied for exams must have cleared Class XII or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

·         Candidates must cleared or pass out Class XII or equivalent with Biology as an additional subject are also eligible.

Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination:

·         50% for General category

·         45% for PWD category

·         40% for SC/ST/OBC

Dress code allowed in NEET 2020 examination
