The Teachers Eligibility Test, popularly known as TET is conducted at both Central and State Level by their respective education boards. It is conducted to select the eligible teachers for schools and colleges. In order to crack these exams, you should prepare hard and extremely well.

Teachers Eligibility Test is necessary to clear for all those candidates who are aspiring to become government teacher. Central government and most of the states conducts this exam every year.

CTET- Central Teacher Eligibility Testis the minimum qualification for teaching aspirants which is conducted by the Central Board of Education (CBSE) every year. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the CTET to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) – 2019

Teachers Eligibility Test is a necessary certificate from government to become teacher in India. The Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted in two papers –PAPER 1 for Primary Level – (1st to 5th Classes) and PAPER 2 for Upper Primary Level – (6th to 10th Classes). Even some states conduct PAPER 3 for the secondary level recruitments.

Importance of TET/CTET Exam

After clearing CTET/TET exam 2019, you will be eligible to become a government teacher in India. After this certificate, you can apply for vacancies released by different schools:

  • Candidates who have cleared CTET can apply for all Central Government Teaching Jobs such as KVS, NVS Army Teacher, ERDO and so on. Without CTET certificate, no candidate can apply for teaching jobs in Central Government.
  • After CTET certificate, candidate can apply to all types of State govt. teaching jobs.

Educational Qualification for TET/CTET Exam 2019

Candidates applying for CTET/TET exam 2019 must go through the listed educational qualification to be eligible to sit in the exams.

PAPER – 1 (Primary Level – 1st to 5th)
Applicants must have passed the Senior Secondary class with at least 50% marks and a 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Applicants must have passed the senior secondary class with at least 50% marks and a 4 Years Bachelor of Elementary Education
OR
Applicants must have a Bachelor Degree with a 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education
PAPER – 2 ( Upper Primary Level – 6th to 10th)
Candidates completed Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 year diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Candidates completed Bachelor Degree with at least 50% and passed or appearing in the 1st year of B.Ed.
OR
Candidates passed Senior Secondary (+2 class) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed.

TET/CTET Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2019

Candidates appearing for the TET exam must have information about the exam pattern to get selected in exam. The written examination will consists of Multiple Choice Questions i.e. MCQs which will carry equal marks in the test. No negative marking is there in any paper.
